While most canopy
trails around the world take visitors through pristine forest
ecosystems, most of us aren't lucky enough to live in such a paradise. Oxbow's canopy trail will enable visitors to explore an
ecosystem that makes sense at home - a system that is recovering from
the impacts of human activity.
|
|
| Students and
visitors will be able to watch as native species compete with exotic
species to form a new ecosystem. What relationships will form
between the various species of plants and animals? Come watch and
find out! |
| The Oxbow canopy
trail will also position visitors for a unique view into its exciting
wetlands and riparian habitat. Here, too, a mix of native and
introduced species are competing to shape the makeup of this wet
zone. How will native beavers, amphibians and alligators adapt to
the changing ecosystem? How about the many forest and wetland
birds? There's a balcony seat awaiting you as the events unfold. |
